I met Jean when I was working as a Girl Scout leader, back in the 1970's. She was always very professional, but smiled readily and was so friendly. I was on the Shemamo Council board of directors for several years, too, and got to know her better then. She always had the interests of the girls foremost, and did a wonderful job at being director. I also knew Jean from church (First United Methodist in Decatur). And later, we discovered that we are distant cousins, and she would occasionally come to our Davis-Campbell reunions. Jean always had a smile and a good word when she saw me. I enjoyed knowing her, and will miss her.
I tried to come to the visitation, but got stuck in my driveway. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.
